In the afternoon of February 28, 2019, Huang Ruohong, representative of Ng Teng Fong Fund and general manager of China business of Sino Group, her team, and Sun Xuejing from Office for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs of the Ministry of Education visited China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) and attended the meeting held by the Ng Teng Fong Law Scholarship Committee.
Prof. Xu Lan, Director of the Office for Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan Affairs, welcomed the guests on behalf of CUPL. Prof. Xu reviewed 2018 Scholarship Selection, and introduced the progress of 2019 Scholarship Selection. Up to date, with the assistance and cooperation of universities under the Mainland-Hong Kong-Macau Law Education Alliance, 45 students submitted their applications. It is estimated that there would be more qualified candidates applying by the end of March.
Later, representatives of the scholarship committee discussed thedeadline for scholarship application in 2019, venue and date for interviews, among other agenda items. In addition, they talked about the exchange study, employment, academic development of scholarship winners in universities in the United Kingdom. They also exchanged views on how to strengthen the dynamic communication with winner students, and on how to provide guidance and assistance to them in the future.
