The academic calendar of CUPL is divided into three semesters (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Teaching weeks for the fall semester start from August 29, 2022 to January 8, 2023, a total of 19 weeks; teaching weeks for the spring semester start from Feburary 27 to June 30, 2023, a total of 18 weeks; teaching weeks for the summer semester start from July 3 to July 28, 2023, a total of 4 weeks.

August 27: Undergraduates of 2019 Journalism major, undergraduates and postgraduates of 2020 and 2021 return to CUPL; Registration for incoming second bachelor’s degree students
August 28-29: Registration for incoming undergraduates and postgraduates
August 28-September 2: Health examination for 2022 undergraduates
August 29: Classes begin for 2019 Journalism undergraduates, all 2020 and 2021 undergraduate and postgraduate students, and second bachelor’s degree freshmen
August 30-September 1: Orientation for 2022 undergraduates
August 31: Opening Ceremony and orientation for 2022 postgraduates

From July 1, 2020 undergraduates (excluding the Journalism major) start internships for 10 weeks and return to CUPL on September 11 to conduct internship evaluations and compose reports.

2022 graduate students conduct professional internships
July 29-August 25: Summer break for students (28 days);
July 31-August 25: Summer break for faculty (26 days)
August 26-27: Faculties return to work
August 26: Students return to CUPL
August 28: Students start to take classes
August 27-28: Registration for incoming undergraduates and postgraduates
2021 undergraduates carry on social practice activities for four weeks during the summer holiday and finish the report within the holiday.
