Promoting Multilateral Scientific Cooperation: CUPL Participates in the 7th Plenary Meeting of the Eurasia-Pacific Uninet (EPU)

On September 25 to 29, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), led a delegation to Vienna, Austria, to attend the 7th Plenary Meeting of the Eurasia-Pacific Uninet (EPU). Wang Liyan delivered a speech at the event.

This was the first full time meeting of the EPU since the pandemic, with representatives from more than 160 member institutions in attendance. The primary aim of the meeting was to identify research areas to further cooperation and communication between the members.

In her speech, Wang Liyan introduced CUPL’s overall development, emphasizing the university’s A+ ranking in the 4th round of discipline evaluation for its law program. She elaborated on CUPL’s international cooperation initiatives, particularly its collaborations with EPU and Austrian universities, and extended the university’s desire to further strengthen ties and deepen cooperation with EPU and its member institutions.

At the meeting, member institutions introduced themselves and exchanged contact information. They also proposed and discussed various initiatives, including seminars and academic and administrative collaborations. A consensus was reached on amending the EPU Charter and welcoming new members.

After the meeting, Wang Liyan presented a lacquer plate featuring CUPL’s emblem as a gift to Wolf-Dieter Rausch, the current President of the EPU.

Wang Liyan was accompanied by Zhou Jialei, Director of the Foreign Affairs Service Center of CUPL’s Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.
