CUPL Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreements with Liaoning Police College and Liaoning College of Politics and Law

On October 15 and 16, Chang Baoguo, Vice President of CUPL went to Dalian and Shenyang in Liaoning Province. Vice President Chang, on behalf of CUPL, signed strategic cooperation agreements with Liaoning Police College (LPC) and Liaoning College of Politics and Law (LCPL). Liu Jian, Director of the Domestic Cooperation Office of CUPL and other staff attended the event.

On the morning of October 15, CUPL and LPC signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement. Chang Baoguo and Li Jinqi, Council Chair of LPC, Meng Xiangfei, President of LPC, Mi Jia, Vice President of LPC and heads of relevant administrative offices of LPC had an exchange of ideas on bilateral cooperation. The two sides would leverage complementary advantages and reached consensus on joint researches in fields such as criminal science and technology, investigation, evidence science, and criminal law. The two sides would also jointly organize on-the-job training programs as well as provide internship opportunities and guidance to students.

In the afternoon of October 15, the signing ceremony between CUPL and Liaoning College of Politics and Law (LCPL) was held in Shenyang, Liao Ning Province. Wang Weidong, Council Chair of LCPL, Guan Fei, President of LCPL, and Kong Qingping, Vice Council Chair of LCPL attended the ceremony. The two sides decided to have pragmatic cooperation in legal training, equivalent education programs, and advancement of the rule of law, etc.

On the morning of October 16, Vice President Chang participated in the opening ceremony of the 1st “Liaoning and Shenyang Forum on the Rule of Law”, and delivered a speech together with other co-sponsors like Wang Yi, Vice President of Renmin University of China. During the forum, Chang met and talked with CUPL alumni, including Li Chenglin, Chief Prosecutor of the People’s Procuratorate of Shandong Province, Wu Yanjun, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the People’s Procuratorate of Shandong Province, Guan Fei, Dean of LCPL and so on.
