On November 24, Zhou Jian, Director of the Department of Rights Protection of China Disabled Persons’ Federation (CDPF), Wang Zhijiang, Regulation Section Chief of the Department of Rights Protection, and Zhang Yuhe, Deputy Chief of the Regulation Section visited CUPL to discuss cooperation matters. Vice President, Feng Shiyong of CUPL attended the meeting. The two parties exchanged views on the following matters, the research project on laws on the protection of the rights and interests of persons with disabilities, internship and practical education base, research on laws for the cause for persons with disabilities, etc. The fruitful discussion laid a solid foundation for longstanding cooperation in the future.
During the meeting, Vice President Feng extended a warm welcome to Zhou Jian and his delegation. He then briefed the delegation on CUPL, including talent cultivation, scientific research, innovation in legal theory, study of foreign rule of law, and so on. Zhou Jian outlined the development process of CDPF. Zhou hoped both parties could seize the opportunity presented by the 30th Anniversary of the Promulgation and Implementation of The Law on the Protection of Persons with Disabilities, step up close cooperation, and improve the rule of law system, so as to achieve shared development.
