On the evening of November 26, the 5th "RONG Jufada" cultural gala of China University of Political Science and Law and the grand final of the 22nd "Weiheng Lawyer Cup" Campus Radio Singer Competition were held in the auditorium of Changping Campus. Li Xiuyun, Vice President of CUPL, and Li Jun, Council Chair and Senior Partner of Beijing Weiheng Law Firm, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Senior Partners of Weiheng Law Firm Hao Ping, Zheng Xiaoying and Hu Bo, lawyer Che Rui, heads of schools and departments, teachers and students of CUPL attended the event. The event was live broadcast on four major live-streaming platforms, i.e. CCTV, Douyin (Chinese version of Tiktok), Bilibili and First Video.
The gala was composed of both the singing contest and the awards ceremony. The event aims to showcase the outstanding campus cultural activities and to foster high-quality and healthy campus culture. The theme of this year's "RONG Jufada" was "Inclusiveness, Integration, Glory", reflecting the open, inclusive and positive spirit of CUPLers as well as the diversified campus culture and strong artistic atmosphere of CUPL. Following COVID-19 health protocols, application, selection, and voting for the singing contest were all completed via online platforms such as Douyin and WeChat.
Ten awards were presented at the event, i.e., "Excellent Campus Publication", "Excellent Campus News Organization", "Outstanding Information Group", "Top Ten Best Campus Cultural Brands", etc. Heads of schools and offices presented awards to the winners. Among them, the "Top Ten Best Campus Culture Brands" awards which have drawn the most attention from CUPLers were given to the “Legal Information Campaign” jointly launched by CUPL and mainstream media, Young Faculty Development Forum, "CUPL Young Lecturers" among others.
After the fierce preliminaries and semi-final, eight candidates made their way into the final round of this year’s singing contest. Their wonderful performances brought an auditory and visual feast to the audience. The first, second and third place winners were Meng Xiangyu, Tang Haozhou and Chen Sitan. Chen Sitan won the “Best Popularity Award”, and Aizezijiang Alimu won the “Best Stage Style Award”. Wan Le won the “Excellence Award” in the Faculty Group. The 5th "RONG Jufada" cultural gala and the 22nd Campus Radio Singer Competition came to a successful conclusion.
CUPL initiated the first "RONG Jufada" cultural gala in November 2016. As a flagship event, "RONG Jufada" has become a platform for CUPL to demonstrate and promote cultural education. Since its launching, “Rong Jufada” has inspired outstanding campus cultural activities, fostered various media platforms, facilitated integrated media development, and nurtured a positive cultural atmosphere on the campus.
