From July 15 to 28, 2013, at the invitation of the law schools of the Pennsylvania State University (Penn State),University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and Duquesne University, Fei Anling, Dean of School of the CUPL Juris Master, lead a delegation composed of the school’s backbone faculty members and certain management staff, went on a tour of America and carried out exchange and investigation activities.

During the trip, the delegation held informal discussions with the three aforesaid law schools. The delegates also had the opportunity to visit libraries, faculty offices, moot courts, multimedia classrooms and other teaching facilities in those law schools. By arranging such visiting activities, on the one hand, three US hosts provided our delegates with valuable experience for reference. On the other hand, the delegation gained an even more direct understanding through observation of the present state of affairs in the American legal education and the related systems. In addition, this trip promoted communication between Chinese and US institutes of legal education as well as the exchange among their jurists, and laid a good foundation for further cooperation in the future.
