From July 24 to 27, 2013, the national final of the Sixth China University Students Computer Design Contest was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. CUPL teams won both first and second prize of the final round of The National Undergraduate Digital Media Design Contest. It was the university's best performance since CUPL students began participating in the contest.
Previously, two CUPL teams were awarded first prize in the Beijing Division final after they had passed through the strict review and elimination in preliminaries and finals. They were directly promoted to the National Final by such a remarkable achievement. It is reported that nationally a total of 319 colleges and universities entered the contest this year. Among those, 978 submissions had been short-listed for the finals in Hangzhou.
