On April 22 evening, the first working meeting of the China-Brazil Law School Alliance was held online. Attendees included Antonio Herman Benjamin, President of Brazil’s Superior Tribunal of Justice (STJ), Oscar Vilhena, Dean of the Law School at Fundação Getulio Vargas(FGV) University (São Paulo campus), Shi Jianzhong, Vice President of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), Li Juqian, Dean of CUPL School of International Law, Wang Zhiyuan, Executive Dean of CUPL School of Criminal Justice, Lv Yong, Director of CUPL Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and Yu Wenxuan, Vice Dean of CUPL School of Civil, Commercial, and Economic Law.

Vice President Shi Jianzhong reviewed the significant achievements and importance of the first Brazil-China Law Congress. He noted that the congress had generated significant resonance in both countries. Moving forward, CUPL will take an active leading role in advancing the alliance’s development and deepening practical cooperation among member institutions from China and Brazil.
