CUPL Holds “International Culture Festival” Successfully

On the morning of November 11, the “International Culture Festival”, jointly organized by the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange and the School of International Education, China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), was held at the Haidian Campus successfully. He Miao, Deputy Director of the Communication Department, Zeng Tao, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education, Wang Fuping, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of CUPL, Tang Yan, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of CUPL, and representatives of faculty and students from the Graduate School of CUPL and the School of International Education attended the opening ceremony. The event was presided over by Shu Dangyi, Division Chief of the International Exchange.

This year’s festival featured 11 booths representing different countries, with CUPL teacher and student introducing local customs and unique cultural elements. At the opening ceremony, Tang Yan, on behalf of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, expressed gratitude to the guests, teachers and students in attendance, and introduced the ongoing activities of the “International Culture Month” series. She highlighted its positive impact on improving management services and fostering intercultural exchanges. Zeng Tao expressed his delight at the return of the in-person festival and affirmed its key role in showcasing CUPL’s achievements in international talent cultivation and building a platform for interaction and mutual learning among Chinese and international students and faculty. He encouraged all participants to use this platform to share diverse cultures, integrate into CUPL’s campus culture, and build bridges of friendship while showcasing their youthful energy. He Miao emphasized that the International Culture Festival is a valuable supplement to CUPL’s efforts to foster international cultural engagement. The face-to-face interactions not only enhance the international atmosphere on campus but also serve as a meaningful way to promote Chinese culture abroad. She hoped for continued success of the festivall and greater participation from faculty and students in the future.

International students from over ten countries, including Argentina, Pakistan, Belgium, Mongolia, Japan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uruguay, Vietnam, and the Central African Republic, participated in cultural performances and displays. These included traditional dances, Chinese and foreign songs, national costumes, and handicraft displays, food tastings and more. The festival attracted a large number of teachers and students who enjoyed the food, engage in cultural exchanges, and took photos together. In the warm and lively atmosphere, the event helped to strengthen friendships and deepen cultural exchange between Chinese and international participants.

This year’s International Culture Festival was an integral part of the International Culture Month series, receiving  strong support from the Communication Department, the Graduate School, the Security Office, and other departments.
