The 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Beijing Municipal Government, officially commenced in Beijing on September 13. This year, 97 universities, institutions, and international organizations from 15 countries and regions participated on-site, while over 150 units joined virtually. The discussions centered around new trends in education services and future development directions.

Vice President of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), Lu Chunlong, was invited to attend the event and was interviewed by China Education Television. During the interview, he shared CUPL's achievements as well as experiences in Sino-foreign cooperative education and the cultivation of legal professionals with international expertise. Vice President Lu highlighted the university’s international development strategy and its fruitful international collaborations. He also provided outlooks on the future of China’s educational openness. Lu emphasized that universities, as key gateways for educational openness, should further broaden their global perspectives, strengthen cooperation with international universities and institutions, and jointly explore education models and talent development pathways that align with contemporary needs. He stressed the importance of establishing effective long-term mechanisms to ensure the sustainable and in-depth development of Sino-foreign cooperative education. CUPL’s outstanding participation earned it the title of "Outstanding Exhibitor" in the education services category at the 2024 CIFTIS.
