On the morning of March 9, President Ma Huaide welcomed the delegation led by Hari M. Osofsky, Dean of the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, at the Haidian campus of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL).

On behalf of CUPL, Hu Ming extended a warm welcome to Hari M. Osofsky and her delegation, highlighting the extensive exchange and cooperation between the two universities over the past decade. He said that CUPL and Northwestern University (“NU”) have carried out close exchanges and cooperation in disciplines, faculty, talent cultivation, scientific research, and other areas over the past years, particularly the stable exchange and teaching-research cooperation between CUPL's Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Science and Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. Ronald J. Allen, an expert in Evidence Law from the Pritzker School of Law, is also an outstanding Chang Jiang scholar and professor at CUPL, contributing significantly to undergraduate courses and receiving the Chinese Government Friendship Award in 2014. President Ma hoped President Ma hoped for expanded cooperation in various fields such as talent cultivation and faculty development, leveraging each other's strengths for mutual contributions to the future.
Hari M. Osofsky expressed her warm feelings about visiting CUPL again and recalled her enjoyable experience holding lectures at CUPL. She expressed her gratitude to CUPL for its support of Professor Ronald Allen over the years and its active promotion of cooperation between the two universities. She then briefed on Pritzker School of Law, emphasizing the recent progress made in emerging and interdisciplinary research while developing traditional disciplines. She expressed eagerness to engage in broader and more innovative scientific research and talent cultivation cooperation with CUPL in related fields.
Then, the two sides exchanged views on advancing the signing of relevant agreements, jointly hosting international conferences, and deepening exchanges between teachers and students.

The visit was accompanied by Darnell Hines, Vice Dean of Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, Jasmin Jenkins, Deputy Director of the Office of Alumni Affairs, and Evan Frost, Vice Director of the Office of Endowments and Alumni Relations. Xu Shejian, Dean of the School of Juris Master, Wang Xu, Dean of the Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Science, Li Juqian, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Tang Yan, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and Shu Dangyi, Officer of the Project, accompanied the meeting.
