On the morning of July 12, the Opening Ceremony for the 7th China Summer Camp of Confucius Institutes was held at the Haidian Campus of China University of Political Science and Law's (CUPL). Shi Jianzhong, Vice President of CUPL, delivered a speech and conferred the camp flag, and Li Juqian, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, presided over the ceremony.

Vice President Shi Jianzhong extended a warm welcome to the teachers and students from the Confucius Institute at the University of Bucharest, Romania. He explained the literal meaning of the university's name in Chinese, and highlighted CUPL's educational features and disciplinary advantages. Emphasizing the cultural significance of the Confucius Institute and its positive impact on Sino-Romanian relations, he expressed hope that the summer camp would provide students with a comprehensive and in-person experience of Chinese culture, encouraging them to become ambassadors of friendship between China and Romania.
Representatives of teachers and students then delivered speeches. Zhou Jialei, the Chinese Co-Directors of the Confucius Institute at University of Bucharest (Romania) and Li Dandan, Director of Office of Confucius Institute expressed their expectations for the students to earnestly study and fully experience Chinese culture. Qu Xin, Deputy Director of the Confucius Institute, detailed the arrangements for the summer camp. Student representative Bai Miaoying (Bratu Ștefania-Raluca) expressed the hope that the journey would ignite a passion for understanding China and contribute to Sino-Romanian friendship. Director Li Juqian encouraged everyone to actively engage in on-site learning experiences, make friends, and spread the seeds of friendship between China and Romania.
Accompanied by the uplifting melody of the university anthem, Qing Hua Fa Da, Shi Jianzhong conferred the camp flag to Tang Yirui, the leading teacher, and took a group photo with all participants, officially marking the beginning of the 7th China Summer Camp of Confucius Institutes. Tang Yan, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Chai Yuan, Project Director of the Confucius Institute, and volunteers also attended the opening ceremony.

The camp, scheduled to conclude on July 24, will see Confucius Institute teachers and students engage in a 9-day learning exchange and cultural experience in Shandong's Tai'an. Subsequently, they will return to Beijing for a 5-day Chinese language learning and cultural visit.
