On September 2, the 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the Beijing Municipal Government, kicked off in Beijing. This event featured more than 40 top universities, including China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) and other “Double First Class” universities, as exhibitors, making CUPL’s first offline presence after its online participation in the previous year.
With educational services as one of the nine themes of the 2023 CIFTIS, educational thematic events are the CIFTIS Education Summit and thematic exhibitions. The thematic exhibitions, held from September 2nd to September 6th, revolved around the theme "High-Quality Education for the Future—Developing New Pathways and Creating New Growth Drivers”.

On September 2, Vice President Shi Jianzhong represented CUPL at the CIFTIS Education Summit, an event sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Education Committee and organized by the Beijing International Education Communication Center in collaboration with the Beijing Science and Technology Education Promotion Association. The summit's theme, "New Scenarios and New Momentum in the Building of a New Future for Global Education," attracted renowned educational experts and scholars from around the world who shared forward-thinking insights, offering a thought-provoking experience.

Following the summit, Vice President Shi Jianzhong was interviewed by China National Radio (CNR) and highlighted CUPL's achievements and experiences in promoting international education cooperation, such as internationalization initiative, degree programs co-organized with foreign schools and management of international students. He also provided suggestions and aspirations for China's education opening up, emphasizing that universities play a vital role in serving national education development strategies and advancing high-quality education systems.

In the afternoon of September 2, visited CUPL's exhibition booth, offering guidance on its setup. He engaged in lively discussions with visitors from various backgrounds, including representatives from other universities and CUPL alumni, actively promoting CUPL.

CUPL's participation in the exhibition was coordinated by the International Cooperation and Communication Office, with support from various units such as School of International Law, China-EU School of Law, School of International Education, University Office of CUPL, Publicity Department, Graduate School, School of Juris Master, and School of Continuing Education. CUPL's booth (No. S5B015 at No. 5 Education Services Hall) featured colorful graphic displays and brochures, offering a comprehensive overview of CUPL's international cooperation programs, international student recruitment, and key achievements in international education cooperation. Booth representatives provided detailed information and program offerings while delivering exceptional consultation services to parents, students, educational institutions, and legal service providers. Through on-site online surveys, they collected valuable feedback, cooperation intentions, and suggestions, showcasing CUPL's unique contributions to international education cooperation and enhancing its social influence.
