Setting their sights on the championship well in advance, the CUPL martial arts team meticulously planned their participation and dedicated themselves to rigorous training to groom for the competition. However, the championship’s scheduled 2022 edition was disrupted by the COVID-19 resurgence. Undeterred by the expected change, members of the CUPL martial arts team tenaciously pursued their daily training, honing their techniques and improving their flexibility and endurance. Coach Pang Haifan played an integral role, providing on-spot tutoring sessions and closely monitoring the physical well-being of each team member. With unwavering patience, composure, and a quest for excellence, Coach Pang prepared the team meticulously for the championship.

Boosting the morale of the team members, Jia Haixiang, director of CUPL Physical Education Department, made a special effort to attend the championship’s first day and witnessed the contests.

Acknowledging the rich history of martial arts, the CUPL martial arts team reviewed each team member’s shortcomings while celebrating their achievements. This introspection aimed to bridge the gap between their pursuit of excellence and the current state, fostering a mindset conducive to improvement. Going forward, the team remains resolute in upholding the esteemed traditions of martial arts and promoting their essence, as well as showcasing the youthful energy and captivating allure of this ancient sport discipline.
