CUPL Legal Research Base for International Chinese Language Education Unveiled

On December 13, the Launching Ceremony of International Chinese Language Education Week 2021, sponsored by Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), was held at Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU). Tian Xuejun, Vice Minister of Education and Chairman of the National Language Commission, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. He then unveiled the China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) Legal Research Base for International Chinese Language Education. CUPL President Ma Huaide attended the ceremony.

The CUPL Legal Research Base for International Chinese Language Education, is the first of its kind in China and jointly sponsored by CUPL and CLEC. The research base is launched to boost the sustainable and high-quality development of international Chinese language education. Benefiting from the abundant resources of legal education and research, the research base will focus on studies on major legal issues related to international Chinese language education, provide legal counseling services for CLEC, and assist CLEC in regulation and legal training. The establishment of the research base is another landmark achievement of CUPL in serving the national strategy and in promoting international Chinese language education.
