On November 8, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) and Tongzhou District People's Government of Beijing Municipality was successfully held. CUPL President Ma Huaide and Vice President Feng Shiyong, as well as Zhao Lei, Party Secretary, Meng Jingwei, Acting District Chief, and Zheng Hao, Vice District Chief of Tongzhou District People's Government of Beijing Municipality, attended the signing ceremony. Meng Jingwei presided over the event.
At the ceremony, President Ma Huaide said that building the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center was an important decision of the Party and the State and its planning and operation were of great significance. CUPL and the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center have been maintaining close and friendly cooperation. The agreement provided a platform for innovative development at a higher level for both sides and served as another milestone for enhanced cooperation.
Zhao Lei stated that CUPL had played a key role in leading legal education and the cultivation of high-caliber legal talents in China. The agreement is a good start. He hoped that both sides could implement the agreement, advance cooperation for the National Legal Education Cooperation Base for Government Officials and the law-based government in Tongzhou District, as well as for the training of backbone legal talents and for improving legal researches and talent exchanges.
