Recently, the Beijing Municipal Government issued the Announcement on the Third Batch of Historic Buildings in Beijing, the main teaching building of the Haidian Campus, CUPL was selected onto the list and will be retained for preservation. Prior to this, in December 2019, Office Buildings No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 of the Haidian Campus, CUPL were selected as "Modern and Contemporary Architectural Complexes" and listed in "China's 20th Century Architectural Heritage List". As a matching building built in the same batch and with a uniform style, the main teaching building along with Buildings No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 constitutes a relatively complete architectural complex of CUPL’s legal education history. Completed in 1953, the main teaching building covers a floor area of 7,885 square meters and is one of the first buildings of the university's predecessor, the Peking College of Political Science and Law.
