On May 18, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) and the State Grid Corporation (SGC) on legal education and the inauguration of the National Legal Education Cooperation Base for Corporate Management were held at the Haidian Campus of CUPL. Chang Baoguo, Vice President of CUPL, and Lyu Haiping, Director of the Legal Compliance Department of SGC signed the Agreement on the Alliance of Top International Legal Talents Cultivation and jointly inaugurated the Cooperation Base. Shao Bingfang, President of Legal Daily, attended the signing ceremony.
Chang Baoguo said that SGC had participated in the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation between CUPL and Legal Daily on legal education and the launching ceremony of the Alliance of Top International Legal Talent Cultivation on April 1. He noted that the new cooperation agreement and the cooperation base marked further and in-depth cooperation between CUPL and the SGC. Lyu Haiping expressed his warm congratulations on behalf of SGC to CUPL for the establishment of the alliance. He put forward three hopes for the bilateral cooperation: closer cooperation for further integration of enterprises, universities and research institutions; better utilization of legal education resources for cultivating high-quality international legal talents; and mutual assistance, especially CUPL assist SGC in researching energy law, exchanges on international legal compliance, training courses on the rule of law, and etc.
