On May 17, CUPL held a meeting with the Beijing Financial Court at the Haidian Campus. CUPL President Ma Huaide, President Cai Huiyong of the Beijing Financial Court (BFC), as well as Li Yanhong and Xue Feng, Vice Presidents of BFC, attended the meeting. The meeting was moderated by CUPL Vice President Chang Baoguo.

President Ma Huaide said that in recent years, CUPL had put forth measures to break down the institutional barriers between universities and the society, by introducing high-quality practical teaching resources from outside the university, and by promoting resource exchange and sharing between the university and the society. He put forward three suggestions for the cooperation between the two sides: first, to establish a “bringing in and going out” mode; second, to jointly foster a think tank for the new era; and third, to establish a mechanism of regular cooperation and exchanges. On behalf of BFC, Cai Huiyong expressed his gratitude to CUPL and his hope to form a closer relationship and to join hands with CUPL for the legal modernization of finance.
