On April 17, the Awarding Ceremony of the 21st Jiang Ping Scholarship of Civil and Commercial Law was held in the Lecture Hall at the Changping Campus of CUPL. Prof. Jiang Ping, Professor Emeritus of CUPL and founder of Jiang Ping Legal Science Fund and his sister, Ms. Jiang Weiyue as well as his daughter Ms. Jiang Fan, Prof. Chang Baoguo, Vice President of CUPL, Prof. Zhao Xudong, Secretary General of Jiang Ping Legal Science Fund, faculty representatives from Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Wuhan University, Peking University, Renmin University of China, Nanjing University, East China University of Political Science and Law, and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, as well as faculty representatives of CUPL, including Prof. Fei Anling, Prof. Guan Xiaofeng, Prof. Li Xiandong, Prof. Wang Hongsong, Council Chair the Civil, Commercial and Economic Law of School, CUPL, Prof. Yu Fei, Dean of the Civil, Commercial and Economic Law of School, CUPL and more than 1200 students attended the ceremony.
Vice President Chang, on behalf of CUPL, offered his congratulation on the convening of the Awarding Ceremony of the 21st Jiang Ping Scholarship of Civil and Commercial Law. He pointed out that, over the 21 years, “Jiang Ping Scholarship” has been recognized by students for its ever-expanding coverage and influence. This is inextricably linked with the high standard of academic pursuit embodied in “Jiang Ping Scholarship”, fairness and justice in the selection, and the spirit and personality charm of Prof. Jiang Ping. Prof. Jiang Ping awarded medals and certificates to the winners of the scholarship, and called on the students to learn and publicize the Civil Code from the perspective of the systematic protection of rights.
