On the morning of April 8, the donation ceremony of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) by alumni Yu Lei and Zhang Xuanming, was held at the Changping Campus, CUPL. Zhang Zhijia and Yu Zhongsheng, Vice Presidents of the Alumnus Association of the School of Management, alumni Yu Lei and Zhang Xuanming, CUPL Vice President and President of the Alumnus Association of CUPL Feng Shiyong and heads of relevant schools and administrative offices attended the ceremony. Lu Shaohua, head of the Alumni Work Office of CUPL, presided over the ceremony.
Yu Lei and Zhang Xuanming co-funded the donation of four AEDs to CUPL for rescuing patients with sudden cardiac death. Yu introduced his work in vocational education and training, in particular vocational qualification training of emergency rescuers. He said that there is a certain gap between the number of AEDs on domestic campuses and that of campuses in developed countries, and that the donation was a modest contribution of the Alumnus Association of the School of Management to safeguard the well-being of everyone at CUPL. Zhang expressed his gratitude towards the university and his great honor to contribute to the well-being of people at CUPL. He hoped that he could take this opportunity to call on more alumni to make contributions to the development of CUPL and the country.
