On November 27, the Seminar on “Upholding and Improving the System of People's Congress for the New Era”, a National Social Science Fund Project, undertaken by Prof. Jiao Hongchang, was held in Beijing. Experts from the National People's Congress, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, Central University of Finance and Economics, People's Public Security University of China and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, as well as members of the research group, attended the seminar. The seminar was moderated by Professor Chen Zheng from the School of Law of CUPL.
Professor Jiao Hongchang presented an overall introduction to the project. Hu Jinguang, head of the experts group summarized the comments and suggestions of the experts for the project. Based on experts' opinions, the research group will carefully plan and optimize the research work. The group will also review the seminar recording, and strive to obtain high-quality research outcomes.
