On November 4, Guo Junqin, a well-known philanthropist, Executive Vice President of the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs, and President of the Beijing Chinese Business Association, donated 1 million face masks to China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). The donation ceremony was held at Beijing Mingyitang Pharmacy. President Guo Junqin and Vice President of CUPL Prof. Feng Shiyong attended the ceremony.

Vice President Feng first expressed cordial greetings to Guo Junqin on behalf of CUPL Council Chair Hu Ming and President Ma Huaide, and extended his heartfelt gratitude to President Guo for her caring and charitable actions. He mentioned that this is the sixth donation made by President Guo to CUPL since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic this year. When the pandemic first started, President Guo donated 60,600 masks, 100 kg of disinfectant, 1,500 kg of medical alcohol and 200 forehead thermometers to CUPL. It is especially commendable that the first donation of anti-pandemic materials such as masks, were made at a time when anti-pandemic materials were in critical shortage. The donated anti-pandemic materials was a timely help to the university. This time the 1 million face masks generously provided by President Guo would surely support CUPL to consolidate its pandemic prevention and control achievements and would contribute to the final victory against the pandemic. CUPL calls on teachers, students, and alumni to pass on and carry forward President Guo's philanthropic philosophy and spirit. Vice President Feng hoped that President Guo would continue to support the development of CUPL in the future.

Xu Xizheng, Deputy Director of University Office, Yu Qingquan, Deputy Director of the Domestic Cooperation Office and Deputy Secretary-general of the Education Foundation, and Zhao Pengcheng, Deputy Director of the Logistics Office of CUPL, also participated in the event.
