President Huang Jin Meets with Representatives of Indiana University Bloomington of America

In the morning of September 20, President Huang Jin met with Austen L. Parrish, President of Law School of Indiana University Bloomington of America, as well as Lesley E. Davis, Vice President of Law School, and Gabrielle L. Goodwin, Director of Law Education of Graduate.

President Huang first extended a warm welcome to Austen L. Parrish and his delegation on behalf of CUPL. He then introduced the history, disciplines, faculty, talent training as well as achievements of CUPL’s international programs. Especially, President Huang mentioned the law discipline of CUPL was listed in the “Double First-Rate” initiative of China’s top universities. President Huang hoped that the two sides would build up on the successful cooperation and carry out more diverse exchange programs of both short-term and long-term for faculties and students. President Parrish spoke highly of the achievements made by CUPL in legal education, academic research and international development. He recognized CUPL as a strategic partner in the field of Chinese law. President Parrish said that the two sides would promote cooperation in fields, such as SJD degree scholar program, joint training programs, faculty short-term teaching programs and so on.

Prof. Xu Shenjian, Dean of School of Juris Master, Prof. Xu Lan, Director of the Office of International Communication and Exchange, Prof. Zhang Zhong, Vice Dean of the Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Science, Mr. Lyu Yong, Deputy Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and Chief of the Programme Division of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office also attended the meeting.
