On November 25, 2016, at the invitation of Peter-Andre Alt, President of Freie University of Berlin in Germany, CUPL President Huang Jin attended the Germany-China Forum on Higher Education and Technological Innovation in Berlin.
This Forum is one of the major activities held during the state visit of the Vice Premier of the State Council, Liu Yandong, to Germany. Vice Premier Liu Yandong attended the forum and delivered a speech. President Huang Jin also gave a speech on “Marching towards the Top Academic Institute in the World”. During the forum, President Huang Jin also had friendly talks with delegates from educational institutions and other college and university presidents from both China and Germany.
More than 60 presidents of Chinese and Germany colleges and universities also attended the forum. These leaders came from such universities as Peking University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Sichuan University, Tongji University, Freie University of Berlin, University of Munich, University of Cologne, and University of Gottingen. During the forum, these participants had in-depth and fruitful dialogues and discussions on issues such as building top-notch universities in the world and facing challenges and opportunities in the cooperation between universities in China and Germany.
On November 24, President Huang Jin had a cordial meeting with exchange students from CUPL studying in the School of Law, Humboldt University of Berlin.
