On the morning of May 30 2016, Prof. Shi Yajun, CUPL Council Chair, met Kiyoshi Morita, President of Okayama University (OU) of Japan.
Prof. Shi welcomed Kiyoshi’s delegation and revisited the previous friendly meetings with Prof. Kiyoshi at CUPL in 2013 and 2015. He said that with Kiyoshi’s support, the two universities jointly signed the Cooperation Agreement and established an official cooperative relationship in 2015. From then on, staff communication was frequent between the two universities. During Kiyoshi’s visit, CUPL signed a Student Exchange Agreement with OU and invited Kiyoshi to serve as a visiting professor at CUPL to deepen their pragmatic cooperation. Prof. Shi expressed the hope that this visit would facilitate diverse academic exchanges, especially in important disciplines like forensic science. Kiyoshi stated that he felt greatly honored to be appointed visiting professor and looked forward to having in-depth cooperation with CUPL. In addition, Kiyoshi invited Prof. Shi to visit OU.
Prof. Xu Lan, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of CUPL, hosted the appointment ceremony. On behalf of their respective universities, Prof. Shi and Prof. Kiyoshi signed the CUPL-OU Student Exchange Agreement.
