The main components of the celebrations for the first birthday of CI (Confucius Institute) at UB (University of Bucharest) are a photo display, related lectures, and the second session of its council meeting. Ms. Gao Huanyue, Deputy Secretary of the CUPL Party Committee, visited the photo show and attended the second council meeting on behalf of CUPL’s administration.
On the morning of December 10, 2014, the photo exhibition for the 1st anniversary of the establishment of CI at UB was unveiled in the first floor hall (B4) of the Research Building at Xueyuan Lu campus. Accompanied by the two Co-Directors of CI at UB, Ms.Gao Huanyue, Mr. H.E. Costea Doru Romulus,the Romanian Ambassador to China, Mr.Bian Zhengdong, the Director of the Education Section at the Embassy of China in Romania, toured the picture exhibition, and sang high praise for the outstanding achievements CI at UB has acquired in the past year.
After that, Marian Preda, Dean of the Faculty of Sociology & Social Work at University of Bucharest delivered a keynote speech on"Social & Demographic Risks in Romania", and conducted an in-depth interaction with our student and teacher audiences on topics of common interest.
On the same afternoon, the second session of the council meeting was convened at Xueyuan Lu campus. During the meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged ideas on certain matters, such as work completed in 2014 and jobs designated for next year,possible amendments to the rules and regulations of CI at UB, and more.
