Recently,the intermediary round of the 2014 "FLTRP CUP" English Public Speaking Contest (Beijing Division), co-sponsored by the Foreign Language Teaching & Research Press(FLTRP), the National Foreign Languages Teaching Advisory Board for Higher Education under the Ministry of Education and the National Advisory Committee on Teaching English Language to Majors in Higher Education under the same Ministry, was held in Central University of Finance and Economics. On the afternoon of November 1, after two rounds of fierce competitions, the final result was announced and followed by an award ceremony. Yang Yuhan, a 2013 undergraduate of the School of International Law at CUPL, took first place, and Mr. Zhang Luping, a teacher at our School of Foreign Languages, received the top award for tutors.
Inaugurated in 2002, the "FLTRP CUP" is known as a high-level English speaking contest for all university and college students across China.
