On the afternoon of October 22, 2014, Vice-President Zhu Yong met with Mr. Jean-Marc Bonnisseau, Vice-President of the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris 1), and Mr. Héloïse Nétange, Director of its International Relations Office.
During the talks, Zhu Yong extended a warm welcome to Mr. Jean-Marc Bonnisseau and his party, remarking that their visit marked the first formal meeting between CUPL and Paris 1. He then expressed his hope that the two sides could strengthen ties and collaborate on projects in the future. Lastly, he briefed the guests on details such as CUPL’s discipline construction, its international cooperation, its talent cultivation, and on other details.
Mr. Jean-Marc Bonnisseau expressed his gratitude for Zhu Yong's hospitality, and introduced certain predominant disciplines of Paris 1, such as Economics, Jurisprudence and Political Science to his host. In addition, he was eager to share Paris 1’s excellent experience in international collaboration and joint talent cultivation with Zhu Yong. He stated that the university has so far worked smoothly with Chinese Universities in the fields of economy, politics, and others. He expressed his desire that a new chapter of cooperation be opened in the area of legal studies in coordination with CUPL. Subsequently, the two parties exchanged in-depth views on matters such as the exchange of teachers and students, joint talent cultivation, degree programs, and others.
