The 19th National University Students’ Table Tennis Championship, sponsored by the Federation of University Sports of China (FUSC), was held in Weifang, Shandong province. The event lasted from August 20 to 25, 2014. Over 540 athletes from 50 colleges and universities across the country took part in this round of contests.
After six days’ of fierce competition, the CUPL varsity team achieved excellent results in team competition and five individual games: a championship for the women’s team competition, runner-ups for the men’s team, which was a major breakthrough and a historic victory, first and the second place for mixed doubles, third place in women’s doubles, fifth place in men’s doubles, fifth place in women’s singles and men’s singles, as well as fifth place in women’s singles of the Super Group (the other players in the final eight positions, besides our players, are professionals on the National Team).
