On the morning of April 23, 2014, at Xueyuan Lu Campus, Vice President Zhu Yong met with Ms. Kerstin Jorna, Director of Directorate D – Intellectual Property under the Internal Market and Services Directorate General (DG MARKT), European Commission, and her party.
During the meeting, Zhu Yong introduced the existing cooperation and exchanges between CUPL and the EU to Ms. Kerstin Jorna. He expressed his gratitude to the European Commission for its continued support of the China-EU School of Law (CESL) over the past few years. He also predicted that law will play an increasingly significant role in the field of Sino-European economic and trade relations.
Ms. Kerstin Jorna congratulated CESL on its achievements in the past few years. She spoke highly of the increasing importance of CESL in the field of Sino-European legal exchange.
After the talk, Ms. Kerstin JORNA delivered a keynote speech titled “The evolution of legal protection for EU Intellectual Property” for CESL students.
