
From December 2 to 3, 2013, the CUPL varsity team won the Runner-Up position at the selective trials of Chinese Regional Rounds under the 7th Price Media Law Moot Court Competition, and qualified for the international finals which will take place at Oxford University in next March.
After sweeping the board in the points race, the CUPL team sailed smoothly into the semifinals and qualified for the finals by crushing the Tsinghua University team. In the finals, the CUPL team lost the crown to Shandong University team by a neck, and took second prize. This was the first session of the Chinese Regional Rounds set up by the organizing committee of the Price Media Law Moot Court Competition. The Chinese Rounds were sponsored by Renmin University of China. In the end, CUPL, Shandong University, Tsinghua University and Communication University of China were promoted as the Four Top Teams and qualified for the upcoming international finals.
