CUPL President Huang Jin is Elected as Seventh VP of China Law Society

The seventh national members’ congress of China Law Society was held in Beijing from November 29 to 30, 2013. The main task of the meeting was to thoroughly and effectively implement the spirit of the Eighteenth National Congress of the C.P.C. as well as the essence of the Third Plenum of the 18th Central Committee of the C.P.C., conscientiously summarize the working experience of the last five years and clearly set the main goals for the next five years. During the session, the new council and leading body of the China Law Society were both elected. CUPL president Huang Jin was elected to be the new vice president. Meanwhile, Ma Huaide and Bian Jianlin were elected to be the executive directors.

In addition, 31 jurists were appointed by China Law Society as new members of its academic committee, and 6 of those successful candidates were CUPL professors; namely, professors Ma Huaide, Bian Jianlin, Zhu Yong, Ying Songnian, Zhao Xudong and Huang Jin.
