On the afternoon of January 25, 2013, at Xueyuan Lu Campus, CUPL President Huang Jin met with President of Tilburg University, Holland, Prof. Philip Eijlander, along with a group of visiting dignitaries.
During the talks both agreed that it would be mutually beneficial for the universities to further expand corporation in certain areas such as the exchange of faculty members and students, cooperative research and joint cultivation programs for doctoral candidates and other cooperative arrangements. Both universities are signatories to interscholastic agreements such as The Cooperation Framework Agreement, The Agreement on Academic and Personnel Exchange and The Agreement on Doctoral Scholarship Project and seek to expand cooperation under those agreements. Meanwhile, the two universities also agreed to jointly carry out certain collaborations such as summer school programs. The expansion of these joint programs will make Tilburg University an inseparable corporative partner of CUPL in the Netherlands.
During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on the progress of the “China-EU Cultural Exchange Program's Legal Education Platform”, which was led and organized by the two universities.
