On the morning of November 4, 2012, at the Xueyuan Lu Campus, CUPL President Huang Jin met with Republic of Korea Scholars attending the annual China-ROK Private International Law Seminar in Beijing. Prof. Du Xinli, from CUPL School of International Law, and other faculty members also attended the meeting.
The two sides shared their views on matters related to the annual Law Seminar. Regarding the development of China-ROK Private International Law Seminar, President Huang offered certain suggestions such as strengthening comparative research on China-ROK private international law, following hot topics in that academic area, conducting studies from the macroscopic viewpoint, as well as discussing other further related issues. President Huang also expressed the idea to invite Japanese scholars to join the seminar when the occasion is appropriate. He thought that a tripartite exchange between China, Japan and ROK would be significant for the study of private international law throughout the entire East Asia region.
