On the morning of September 1, 2012, CUPL held the “Rainbow Student Grants Handing out Ceremony” for new students. President Huang Jin and Vice-President Feng Shiyong gave 3,000 RMB yuan to each of the 13 student representatives.
Since 2006, CUPL has annually earmarked a certain amount of money to the Rainbow Student Grant Fund. This Fund is designed to supply freshmen of special financial difficulties with the basic living expenses. CUPL has given out a total sum of around 400,000 RMB yuan through 2011. Over 400 students have benefited from the aid. This year’s “Rainbow Student Grant” amounts to 200,000 RMB yuan. It will provide financial help to 100 students facing financial difficulties.
