CUPL Signs Cooperation Agreements with Five Foreign Universities

On May 15 and 16, 2012, in the Yifu Building on CUPL’s Changping Campus, President Huang Jin and Vice President Zhu Yong attended the signing ceremony of cooperation agreements with five foreign universities, helping commemorate CUPL’s 60th anniversary.

On May 15, Vice President Zhu Yong and Vice President of the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (​​Spain) Mercedes Unzeta López signed a cooperation framework agreement.

On May 16, President Huang Jin and President of Università degli Studi di ROMA “Tor Vergata” (Italy) Renato Lauro exchanged previously signed scientific and cultural cooperation agreements. They also exchanged the renewal agreement among the University of Rome Tor Vergata (administrative headquarters in Italy), “La Sapienza” University of Rome, the Department of Cultural Identity at the C.N.R. and CUPL. The objective of the four-party agreement is to establish the Research Center for the Codification of Chinese Laws and the Cultivation of Chinese Law Talents in the Background of the Roman Legal System.

On May 16, President Huang Jin also signed a cooperation framework agreement with Kim Yoo Hwan, President of the Legislation Research Institute of Republic of Korea.

Vice President Zhu Yong and Universiteit van Tilburg (the Netherlands) Law School Dean Randall Lesaffer signed agreements on the framework of cooperation, academic and personnel exchanges, and doctoral scholarship projects.

Vice President Zhu also signed agreements on the framework of cooperation and student exchange with University of St. Thomas (Italy) Vice-President Dr. Barry Craig.
