On April 28, 2012, CUPL Business School’s MBA Education Center announced that the 2011 MBA international class students will travel to the United States for a one-year study double-degree program at the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM)—the first such international program established by the CUPL’s School of Business. The cooperation agreement was signed in 2010.

The program began to accept admissions in May 2011 and enrolled 15 students. Based on the agreement, the international class students are required to finish the MBA training plan at CUPL’s Business School and other four courses designated by UDM in the first year. During the second year at UDM, students will complete eight additional courses for credit, allowing them to earn an MBA degree at UDM. Upon their return to China, if the students pass the MBA oral examination and meet the thesis requirement, they are awarded CUPL’s MBA graduation diploma and related degree certificate.

During CUPL’s 60th Anniversary Celebration, the MBA Education Center will sign international cooperation programs with the Richard Ivey School of Business (University of Western Ontario, Canada) and the American Marshall School of Business (University of Southern California, Los Angeles, California).
