On April 28, 2012, CUPL’s Procedural Law Research Institute held a forum titled “Implementation of the Newly-amended Criminal Procedural Law” on the Changping (undergraduate) Campus to further promote the newly-amended Criminal Procedure Law and to commemorate CUPL’s the 60th anniversary. Attendeeds included: government officials; experts and scholars from the Standing Committee of the NPC; the Supreme People’s Court; the Supreme People’s Procuratorate; and, the Ministry of Public Security. Representatives from Peking University, Tsinghua University, and other colleges and universities also attended the forum. The forum was divided into three units: 1) pre-trial proceedings, 2) trial proceedings, and 3) evidence system.
