"I have been surrounded by faculty, staff, and students who are genuinely welcoming and supportive. Since I began teaching English at CUPL in 2014, delivering lessons at both campus locations has been a deeply satisfying and rewarding experience. The students here have a great attitude, are not afraid to be wrong, and always work diligently in class. These qualities wouldn't have been long-lasting without the nurture and reinforcement of the positive culture and openness of the university. So I can say without reservation that it has truly been a privilege to be teaching at CUPL.

My students are happy to go the distance, so am I. For starters, taking a stroll through the cozy garden on the Changping campus is always a delight. Whether it's the refreshing palette of spring blossoms, the bountiful leaves and the dewy meadow grass in summer, the vibrant hues of fall foliage, or the quiet beauty of dark, emerald-green winter spruce, the garden provides a lively yet peaceful retreat for busy staff and students alike all year round.

A nomad at heart, I love travelling, reading, and experiencing all the vividness of the world through cultures and people, where I can always find inspirational ideas to fuel my teaching. Living and breathing the belief that “variety is the spice of life”, I'm constantly incorporating fresh perspective into my lessons, allowing my students to enjoy the small moments while pushing their potential. Outside of class, while inviting my students to visit the sparkling freshwater lakes and beaches of Ontario, Canada, where I come from, I take their advice on travelling around China. Every summer and winter vacation, I embark on a new journey to explore the country's immensely rich history and culture."
