The Mainland - Hong Kong - Macao Legal Education Alliance was jointly established by CUPL, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Macao in June 2017. 16 members served on the first Board of Directors, i.e. Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, China University of Political Science and Law, Fudan University, Xiamen University, Wuhan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Jinan University, East China University of  Political Science and Law, Shenzhen University, the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Shue Yan University, University of Macao, and Macao University of Science and Technology. Since its establishment, the Alliance has promoted the exchanges and cooperation among leading law universities from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macao. It has contributed to the comprehensive framework for promoting the rule of law, building a law-based country, government and society, and realizing scientific legislation, strict law enforcement, fair justice and observance of law by all.
