CUPL Wins the Special Prize in the "Basic Law Knowledge Quiz for Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and Overseas Chinese Students in Colleges and Universities"

On December 18, 2023, the "2023 Basic Law Knowledge Quiz for Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Overseas Chinese Students in Colleges and Universities" concluded at Jinan University. Organized by the Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Work Office of the Ministry of Education, the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macau Special Administrative Region, with support of the Department of Education of Guangdong Province and the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the event attracted more than 4,000 teachers, students, and relevant departments from universities across China. The event was hosted by the Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Overseas Chinese Students Management Branch of the Guangdong Association of Higher Education, and co-organized by the Mainland-Hong Kong-Macau Legal Education Alliance and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Legal Education and Talent Training Alliance.

The School of International Education of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) has participated in this competition for two consecutive years. In the 2022 competition, CUPL team won the second prize. This year's event, themed “Building Consensus on the Basic Law, Creating the Future with Heart-to-Heart Connection”, saw CUPL team emerging victorious, winning the special prize. After the preliminary round 'Waiting for Your Answer on the Basic Law,' representative teams from 10 universities including CUPL, Wuhan University, Beijing Normal University, Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, and Jinan University stood out and advanced to the offline knowledge quiz competition of the Basic Law “Campus Tour”. CUPL's team went through several rounds of intense competition and emerged as the winners of the special prize.
