Lasted for nearly half a year, the 2022 Negotiation Contest (Chinese) for Future Top Business Negotiators concluded on November 26 after preliminary, rematch and final. All the three teams from China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) won the first prize in the team competitions (accounting for 30% of the total number of first prize teams). CUPL business negotiation team 3 ranked first among 26 teams nationwide and won the championship.
The contest was co-sponsored by China Association of International Business Negotiation (CAIBN) of the Chinese Academy of Management, and the School of Economics and Management, China University of Petroleum (Beijing). Beijing Haidian Shidai Vocational Training School provided technical support for the contest. CAIBN is the first legally-registered organization dedicated to the research in and promotion of international business negotiation. The Negotiation Contest for Future Top Business Negotiators is a flagship event held by CAIBN for 17 consecutive years. Simulated cases concerning current trade and economic changes and challenges of international business negotiation designed by practical experts are used in the contest. Faculty and students from domestic and foreign universities taking part in the contest conduct international business negotiation simulation. The interdisciplinary knowledge and simulated negotiation of the contest promises to improve innovation and practical ability of college students. In addition, the contest explores and cultivates the future top negotiation team with international vision and understanding of international rules and business negotiation skills.
After the fierce preliminary (written negotiation scheme) and rematch (online simulation of 26 teams), CUPL team 3, Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) team Panoramic, Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) team, and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) team 2 made their way to the final round. In the final round, CUPL team 3 won the championship with absolute advantage. BLCU team and BFSU team won the second and third place respectively.
