On April 24, the Forum on Legal Education and Legal Talents Cultivation for the New Era, one of the series events to celebrate the 70th birthday of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), was held at the Haidian Campus. Ma Huaide, CUPL President, and Wu Shixing, Deputy Director General of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education (MOE), delivered speeches. The opening ceremony was moderated by Shi Jianzhong, CUPL Vice President. More than 150 leaders and experts from over 50 universities around China, including Tsinghua University, Peking University and Renmin University of China, participated in this forum online and offline. The forum covered the following topics: the innovation of legal talents cultivation mode under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on the rule of law, the fundamental role of and commonality between legal education and legal talents cultivation fort the new era, the pattern of legal talents cultivation under the background of new liberal arts discipline in the new era, as well as talent cultivation for the digital era, and innovating the cultivation of foreign-related legal talents.
