Recently, China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) received a birthday gift from the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill (UWI), Barbados, the Confucius Institute (CI) partner institution of CUPL. The gift, a mahogany ornament sent to celebrate the 70th birthday of CUPL, is an important symbol of the friendly cooperation between the two universities through the platform of the CI. Founded in 2015, the CI at Barbados is the only Confucius Institute in Barbados and was awarded “2017 Confucius Institute of the Year”. The UWI attaches great importance to cooperating with CUPL, and UWI Principal Clive Landis, recently sent a congratulatory video and letter to CUPL for its 70th birthday.
