In the evening of September 10, China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) held the Ninth Award Ceremony for the “Top 10 Most Popular Undergraduate Teachers” in the Liu Huangfa Academic Lecture Hall at the Changping Campus. CUPL Council Chair Hu Ming, Vice President Li Xiuyun, the award winners and their families, as well as heads of relevant departments, and over 500 faculty, staff and student representatives attended the ceremony. Council Chair Hu, on behalf of CUPL council, extended holiday greetings to all the faculty and staff and expressed heartfelt congratulations to the winners.
The university-wide selection activity of the “Top 10 Most Popular Undergraduate Teachers” is sponsored by the Publicity Office of CUPL and organized by CUPL news agency. In this activity, students vote online and offline for the teachers they respect, love, and admire and with their own evaluation criteria. This year, a Special Tribute Award was added for teachers who had been elected for more than six consecutive terms in the previous eight years. The activity took two months and went through two stages, i.e., the preliminary selection and the final selection. The final winners were Cai Yuanpei, Fang Peng, Ke Yongmin, Miao Yu, Ren Qiming, Yu Yue, Zhou Guo, Zhang Jin, Zeng Wenke, and Zhu Zheng, as well as a full-time counselor for ethnic minority students from the Student Affairs Office, Didar Malik. Luo Xiang and Liu Jia’an were awarded the Special Tribute Award.
