On September 18, Wang Kun, a teacher from China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), represented Beijing in the table tennis tournament of the 14th National Games of China (mass group). After the fierce group match and elimination match, Wang won the championship in the women's singles 25 to 39 years-old group, defeating Tianjin player with a result of 3-1 (9:11, 11:5, 11:5, 11:2). In the games, Wang won the applause and showed the elegance of high-level athletes from CUPL with excellent performance.

In May this year, Wang Kun became a member of the Beijing Ping Pong Association with the first place in her age group in the selection competition of the mass group for the 14th National Games, and was qualified to represent Beijing in the National Games. After winning the women's singles championship in June of the same year on behalf of the Beijing Municipal Education Union, Wang won the women's singles championship in the Northern Region at the National Games Qualifier in July, and then qualified for the finals with her women's team.

Wang Kun, a former high-level table tennis player of CUPL, won 13 national university championships and achieved five consecutive championships in women's singles from 2015 to 2019. During the preparation training in this summer, she trained almost every day in Qiyun Gymnasium with the students of the high-level sports team. As the new academic year started, she spent her spare time training hard day and night, and rain or shine. With her efforts and solid preparation, and under the guidance of two coaches, Peng Bo and Yang Ce, from the Sports Department of CUPL, Wang overcame the multiple difficulties of stress and injury, and restored her competitiveness to the best state. During this period, the Civil, Commercial and Economic Law School, the Department of Physical Education and the School Union all gave their support.
