From September 15 to 17, the 18th Annual Conference of the Asian Law Institute, one of the most influential academic organizations for legal education in the Asia-Pacific region, was held online. With the theme “Law, Technology, and Diversity in Asia”, the annual conference had 32 sessions over two and a half days. The topics of the sessions covered criminal law, law and society, law and economic development, international trade law, international commercial law, international arbitration and dispute resolution, as well as a number of interdisciplinary subjects. Over 150 experts and scholars from the members of the Asian Law Institute and famous universities in Asia gathered in the online meeting to discuss the hot issues. A total of 11 students and faculty members from China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) attended the conference and gave keynote speeches, which is a record high number of participants, making CUPL one of the most attended universities in China.
