On August 28, 2021 undergraduate freshmen representatives met with the university leaders at the Changping Campus of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). CUPL President Ma Huaide and Vice President Li Xiuyun attended the meeting. During the meeting, freshmen representatives introduced their birthplace, and shared their excitements for coming to CUPL. In the meantime, they appreciated CUPL for the thoughtful arrangements, and senior students for their kind help during registration and orientation. They also expressed hope and expectations for their upcoming college life.
President Ma, on behalf of CUPL, expressed his welcome to the 2021 freshmen. He then congratulated them for coming to their dream college through hard work. He pointed out that CUPL, the most prestigious law university for legal talent cultivation in China, is the key research base for humanities and social sciences. President Ma put forward four expectations for 2021 freshmen: first, study hard and master the knowledge of their own majors. Second, develop moral habits and become a high-quality talent practicing both morality and law. Third, participate in practical activities so as to be a compound talent. Fourth, improve characters by exercising both physically and mentally and adapt to university life as soon as possible. Last but not least, President Ma wished freshmen every success and a rewarding experience in CUPL.
